If you would prefer a CD, there'll be a link up soon for ordering them from here. Enjoy R.
Well, it's finally done, our debut album 'Penshaw woolies eat deer' will be released on the 17th of November. You will be able to get it from itunes/spotify etc. but we prefer if you use bandcamp because they treat us bands better, here's the link http://zeerox.bandcamp.com/album/penshaw-woolies-eat-deer
If you would prefer a CD, there'll be a link up soon for ordering them from here. Enjoy R. We just got word from Root Sounds today that they've posted an interview we did with them a while back. As it was following a gig where we all got free drinks, we accept no responsibility for anything inappropriate mentioned! You can check out the interview by clicking here or clicking on the Roots Sounds North East logo. Hi guys. Three Zeerox tracks will be featured tonight from 11pm on GasHouse Radio in a battle of the bands! Basically log in & if you like our track give it a thumbs up. Simple! You can get to GasHouse radio if you click here. We finally got a song played on BBC Tees! It took the creation of another account with my home postcode, but we're very happy to have been featured on the Bob Fischer show. He was even good enough to spell our name to help any new fans find us! You can listen to the show for the next week if you click here or on the picture to the left. Our song is about 21 minutes into the show if you are in a rush. We just had word from Nick Roberts at BBC Newcastle that 'Sour Candy' will feature on his BBC Introducing in the North East show tomorrow from 8pm. You can get info about the show if you click here. On a side note, we'd like to send our respect to Nick, who took the time to e-mail us regarding the song. At the end of the song there is some screaming, which can be hard to make out what is being said, which some lazier DJ's may dismiss as swearing instantly. Rather than do this however, Nick was good enough to e-mail us and find out that the words were actually "raspberry x3 monkey blood." Thanks for taking the time to message us and play our music Nick. We have just received word today that the Zeerox track Nightime has been shortlisted to feature on the "Bucket Race" CD and DVD. To improve our chances of selection, we would like to ask fans to take a moment to go to http://www.bucketrace.com/musicplayer.php then scroll down and select "Zeerox - Nightmare." (Yes we know there is a pretty dramatic spelling mistake going on there) If you wanted to know what Bucket Race is, it's a "48 hour scavenger hunt road trip. During the event, teams travel throughout Europe completing their chosen combination of tasks." Slightly retrospective with this post, but Zeerox were featured on the MSI Monthly Hitlist show. You can listen to the podcast of the show here or click on the image to the left. Although we didn't win, the feedback was positive, and we have posted some of the quotes below; “It’s got a current vibe about it.” - Ian Husbands “It reminds me of Pink Floyd” - Tom Chianti “It’s exciting, it’s old school, it’s electric, it’s edgy.” - Robert Lindquist
Hmm I guess the title of this update might give away the outcome of the latest Music Scene Investigation show... but we couldn't keep it quiet. It's an honour to be rated the week's top artist by such a knowledgable panel, which included guest panellist Tony Palmer, who has worked with artists such as The Beatles, Cream, Jimi Hendrix and Frank Zappa! The episode is available to watch here if you want to hear what the experts think of Zeerox. For our fans that don't have time to listen to the entire show, here are some quotes from the panel; "I really would like to see that group on stage they seem to me to have bags of potential." "I thought it was war of the Worlds v Bernard Herrmann." "I'm buying a ticket now for their next live gig." -Tony Palmer ----- "The energy from that track was just amazing" "It's raw, you can feel it, and you know everyone in that band is just going for it." "That synth was annoying" - (Just to clarify, no synth was used on this track) -Ian Husbands ----- "The verses reminded me a little bit of Pink Floyd" "What was lacking was these guys reaching their full potential" "This was the most interestingly structured, there was movement and motion in it." -Tom Chianti --- IMPORTANT NOTICE: As a Song Of The Week Artist, 'Sour Candy' will now be featured in MSI's monthly competition, MSI:HITLIST where the song will go head to head against other Song Of The Week Artists with the opportunity to win some great promotional opportunities. The show will be broadcast live on Wednesday April 10th 2013 at 5.30pm EST / 10.30pm BST on MSI:Radio at: http://msi.icweekly.net/msi-labs-radio/, so please tune in!!! :D Zeerox were played on BBC Radio Newcastle's Introducing show again. This time they opted to a play a song that'd been kept exclusive to live shows, 'Devil's Elbow' The DJ seemed a little bemused by the Spring 2113 release date, but good things come to those who wait! To hear the press release type you can follow this link to hear the song on air until this coming Saturday. |
